Position Overview

This position is for a software engineer to join a data service/management team serving Autodesk mainframe products.

The team is responsible for designing/implementing/deploying critical material related components/services for fulfilling the requirements of the product independently or by collaborating with other teams of Forge Group or Autodesk products.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, and document new and existing software features

Work with product manager and product owners to interpret and translate business needs to technical requirements

Ensure high quality software is delivered by following engineering practices like peer code reviews, code standards, and unit testing

Apply extensive technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems

Qualifications 

BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent domain

0-2 year of work experience

Strong development proficiency in C++, programming skills

Proficiency in software development tools and version control systems.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience with CAD software usage or development is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Work experience in QT, Jenkins, Python is a plus

Work experience in web technologies like React, JavaScript, Java is a plus

Require basic knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts within a specific discipline – typically gained through formal education or equivalent training

Perform routine, defined assignments with direct guidance and oversight from others with more experience

Learn to use professional concepts in practical situations through completion of work assignments and training

Take an active role in learning and becoming familiar with the discipline and broader team environment

Typically seek guidance on problems as they arise, and adapt to solve problems encountered previously
