A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer II on our Retail Business Services tech team, you'll spend your day architecting and developing automation solutions that leverage machine learning and large language models to tackle high-impact retail challenges. You might begin by collaborating with applied scientists and peers to design a new feature for catalog enrichment, then transition into code review discussions where you provide constructive feedback on a teammate's implementation. Throughout the day, you'll make critical design trade-offs, evaluate technology choices, and ensure your solutions are both performant and maintainable. You'll also mentor newer engineers, participate in incident response when needed, and contribute to continuous improvements in how our team operates and delivers value.
