Software Development Engineer, Bidding Science and Experimentation
Amazon.com
Are you passionate about building large-scale experimentation systems that drive data-driven decision making?
At Amazon Advertising, we are developing state-of-the-art experimentation frameworks and real-time applications using terabytes of data. The Bidding Science and Experimentation team develops and maintains a sophisticated experimentation framework that enables teams to run self-service online experiments across the ad serving stack. Our systems process billions of ad impressions daily to power experimental capabilities across Amazon's Display Advertising platform.
As an engineer on the team, you will design and develop products that are at the heart of advertising experimentation – systems that enable data-driven decisions through sophisticated A/B testing capabilities. You will have responsibility to help define requirements, create software designs, implement code to these specifications, define continuous integration testing and support products while deployed and used by our customers. You will have complete ownership of technology choices, architecture, experimentation frameworks, code deployments into production environment and operations for the products you own. We're looking for engineers interested in developing real-time experimentation systems that process tens of billions of requests/day using core technologies, Big Data, and Applied Science.
Key job responsibilities
You will have responsibility to help define requirements, create software designs, implement code to these specifications, define continuous integration testing and support products while deployed and used by our customers.
A day in the life
You will work closely with Applied Scientists, Data Scientists, Product Managers and high performing Software Engineers to build and maintain experimentation frameworks, monitoring systems, and result analysis capabilities for large-scale advertising systems.
About the team
The team builds the Experimentation Platform with advanced capabilities across Amazon DSP. Our system includes experiment configuration, scheduling, monitoring, and analysis components that help teams make data-driven decisions efficiently and reliably.
