We are currently seeking a Software Development Advisor to join our team in CDMX, Ciudad de México (MX-CMX), Mexico (MX). Job Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing our ServiceNow Discovery processes, including updating existing discovery patterns, creating custom patterns, troubleshooting issues, and handling high-priority tickets. This role requires a strong understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, IT Operations Management (ITOM), Service Mapping, and configuration management best practices. Key Responsibilities: + Update Existing Discovery Patterns: Regularly review and update existing discovery patterns to ensure they are functioning optimally and accurately capturing IT assets and configurations. + Create Custom Patterns: Design and implement custom discovery patterns to meet specific organizational needs, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all IT assets. + Troubleshoot Discovery Patterns: Identify and resolve issues related to discovery patterns, including analyzing logs, debugging scripts, and collaborating with other teams to ensure successful data collection. + Open ServiceNow High Tickets: Manage high-priority incidents related to discovery failures by opening and tracking ServiceNow high tickets, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders. + Service Mapping: Collaborate with the Service Mapping team to ensure accurate mapping of services and their dependencies, enhancing visibility into service health and performance. + Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of discovery patterns, processes, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training. + Collaboration: Work closely with IT operations, network, server, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of discovery data into the CMDB and other ITSM processes. + Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the discovery process. + Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on discovery processes and best practices. Qualifications: + Experience: + 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow Discovery or a similar role. + Proven experience in creating and updating discovery patterns within ServiceNow. + Experience with IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Service Mapping in ServiceNow. + Technical Skills: + Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform and its modules, particularly Discovery, ITOM, and CMDB. + Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell) for custom pattern development. + Familiarity with network protocols and technologies (e.g., SNMP, WMI, SSH). + Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail. + Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
