Moving mountains together – as Software Developer / Senior Scientist I for Laboratory Automation (Robotics Applications) (all genders) (full-time,permanent)

We analyze our processes and develop ways to increase efficiency, quality, and reliability through laboratory and process automation. We are looking for an innovative and self-driven employee who will support us on this path with profound and extensive programming skills and an understanding of laboratory processes.
Job Profile:
Independent development of applications in the field of data handling, integration of systems and databases (ELN, LIMS), control of devices, and user interfaces (custom automation)Independent implementation of highly complex automation solutions and responsible execution of proof-of-concepts (POC) within various departmentsProcess analysis and screening of workflows to identify automation possibilities as well as their conception, realization, and documentationLeading participation in initiatives to improve automation processes within AbbVieTaking interface responsibility between our automation group and our Information Research (IR) group located in internal ITQualifications
Basic Requirements:
Senior Scientist I: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and typically, 10 years of experience, master’s degree or equivalent education (Master's, Engineering) in the field of bioinformatics, IT, or a related field, or a technical education or scientific studies with corresponding programming knowledge and/or automation experience and typically 8 years of experience, PhD and no (some) experience necessary.Senior Scientist II: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and typically, 12 years of experience, master’s degree or equivalent education (Master's, Engineering) in the field of bioinformatics, IT, or a related field, or a technical education or scientific studies with corresponding programming knowledge and/or automation experience and typically 10 years of experience, PhD and typically 4 years of experience.Excellent programming skills and agile software development (C#, C++ and/or Python)
Advantageous/Not a must:
Experience in application development focusing on data transformation and AIExperience with Microsoft Visual Studio and GitExperience in laboratory automation, LIMS, and ELNExperience with driver development and API interfacesBasic understanding of laboratory workflows and processes in pharmaceutical developmentExperience with processes and requirements in regulated environmentsSoft Skills:
Good teamwork skills for working in international, interdisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and IT specialistsWillingness to adapt to changing environments and situations with multiple projectsVery good English skills, both spoken and written, to present and report resultsAbility to work independently and take responsibilityStructured and self-organized work with corresponding documentationOpenness to a rapidly changing environment with many challenges
