You will play an integral role in building the next generation of accessibility assessment, reporting, and compliance systems that support IBM's commitment to inclusive design. If you're interested in making a global impact by enabling accessible experiences across IBM's portfolio - we want to hear from you! **Required technical and professional expertise** * 4+ years of experience in Node.js development * 2+ years of experience in developing high-performing, scalable backend services * Experience building and maintaining NPM packages and managing dependencies * Expert in JavaScript and TypeScript * Experience with CI/CD build environments (e.g., Tekton) * Experience with package management and versioning * Proficient in API development and integration * Experience with automated testing frameworks * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitHub * Knowledge of DevOps and Agile development principles * Experience with build automation and deployment pipelines * Troubleshooting, testing and performance optimization skills * Experience with Open Source communities/projects * Experience using Agile Scrum methodology * Understanding of accessibility standards and compliance requirements * Fluent in English and solid communication skills **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience with accessibility testing tools and frameworks * Familiarity with WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards * Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) * Backend unit testing (Jest, Mocha, etc.) * Integration testing frameworks * Experience with NoSQL database systems (e.g., CouchDB) * Knowledge of web accessibility evaluation tools * Experience with reporting systems and data visualization IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
