Software Developer About the team You will be joining our Pure team at our office in Aalborg to help design, build, and support a world-class product called Pure: the leading research information system trusted by research institutions across the globe. The focus of the team is to help our clients seamlessly bring data into Pure from across the research world. For more info about the product, see https://www.elsevier.com/solutions/pure About the role As a software engineer in the Pure team, you will be a central player in our cross-functional team , where you will be using /learning many different technologies t o solve our customer's need for more and better data . This includes, but not limited to Java, AWS (Amazon Web Services) , CI /CD, Python, XML and JSON . As part of the role, you can expect help and support not only from the rest of the team, but also from our highly skilled colleagues in the other Pure teams . Responsibilities + Delivering quality solutions + Interested in modern technologies (e.g. AI) , we do prioritize time for training + Write well-tested, documented and peer-reviewed code. + Being a team player and having a positive and curious mindset. + Asking for help when needed. Requirements + Experience with Java or similar OO language and a basic understanding of building quality software + Understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals. + Experience with agile engineering practices such as TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, automated testing and deployment, Scrum and Kanban. + Basic knowledge of Spring and Hibernate is an advantage.
