The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Asset Management SME supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The Asset SME will be responsible for providing deep subject matter expertise in all aspects of software asset management, including inventory control, logistics, and lifecycle management. This role leads a team of Business Analysts and Developers in the design, development, and implementation of an effective and efficient software asset management capability, with a strong emphasis on leveraging ServiceNow. The SME will work closely with the Software Service Delivery Manager and Business Process Consultant, as well as other stakeholders across the organization, to ensure hardware asset capability is in compliance with government policies, industry best practices, and hardware requirements. This role operates within an Agile environment, emphasizing iterative development, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 


Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary subject matter expert on all aspects of software asset management, providing guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of software asset lifecycle processes, from acquisition and deployment to maintenance, retirement, and disposal. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to hardware asset management. Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts and Developers, providing guidance and support in the design, development, and implementation of asset management solutions within ServiceNow. Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure project goals are met. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members. Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of software asset management solutions within ServiceNow using Agile methodologies.  Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather and document business requirements, ensuring they are translated into effective ServiceNow configurations. Work with Developers to customize ServiceNow applications and integrations to meet specific business needs. Oversee the testing and deployment of new ServiceNow asset management solutions and updates. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within ServiceNow's CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and related modules. Collaborate with the Software Service Delivery Manager to ensure alignment between asset management processes and service delivery operations. Work with the Business Process Consultant to analyze existing software asset management processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimized workflows within ServiceNow. Identify and implement opportunities to improve software asset management processes and workflows within the ServiceNow platform. Develop and maintain documentation for asset management processes and procedures. Conduct regular audits of software asset data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of asset management programs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including IT, Procurement, as well as the Software Service Delivery Manager and Business Process Consultant. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on asset management initiatives and address any concerns. Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement asset management policies and procedures. 




Qualifications:

Required:

10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).7 + years of experience in software asset management. Proven experience leading and managing a team. Extensive experience with ServiceNow, including configuration, customization, and integration, within an Agile development environment. Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices. Experience with data analysis and reporting. Experience working in an Agile development environment using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Deep subject matter expertise in software asset management. Expertise in ServiceNow Asset Management modules (e.g., HAM, SAM, CMDB). Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

 Desired: 

ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist - ITAM). Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), AgilePM). Experience integrating ServiceNow with other enterprise systems. Experience in [Specific Industry your company operates in]. Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles. Experience working with Service Delivery teams and business process improvement methodologies.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$73,800-$155,100
