Software Architect Embedded and IoT, Mother & Child Care - Shenzhen

+ You will join the Philips Personal Health, Mother & Child Care business unit and report to the Functional Group Lead for Software Development. Based in Shenzhen, you will collaborate with passionate R&D colleagues across Asia and Europe and work closely with ODM partners primarily located in Greater China.

**You're the right fit if you have:**
+ Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, or Electronics, with strong expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and C/C++ for full lifecycle embedded software development.
+ Over 7 years of experience in software development and more than 3 years in software architecture/design for embedded systems, including RTOS and bare-metal environments. Skilled in communication interfaces (Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet, Serial) and wired/wireless standards; hands-on Linux experience is highly desirable.
+ Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies including V-model and Agile (SAFe as a plus). Experience in medical device software development, including compliance with IEC 62304, is highly valued; familiarity with cybersecurity principles is preferred.
+ Proven track record in managing software requirements, creating architectures and work breakdown structures, delivering accurate effort estimates, mentoring developers, overseeing risk management, and troubleshooting design issues. Strong collaboration skills with product owners, Greater China ODM suppliers, and stakeholders to create innovative products that meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams in Greater China, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
