Summary: Our client is seeking a hands-on Software Architect to help shape and build a next-generation global trading platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a low-latency environment and has a passion for designing scalable, high-performance systems used in electronic trading, smart order routing (SOR), and real-time market data processing. As Software Architect, you'll define technical direction, turn complex business requirements into robust service architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver resilient, low-latency solutions. Key Responsibilities: * Architect and design a high-throughput, enterprise-grade algo trading platform * Lead the development of distributed, event-driven systems using Java, Aeron, and other high-performance messaging frameworks * Design and optimize Smart Order Routing (SOR) logic for multi-venue execution * Leverage AWS cloud services to build scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant components * Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and trading teams to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities * Set and maintain engineering best practices for code quality, performance, and reliability
