As a key contributor, you will directly influence the future of legislative engagement in Colorado by providing application support expertise for our stakeholders. The Colorado General Assembly is a small but high-profile state government institution with approximately five hundred users including one hundred legislators. LIS provides computing, network and storage technology infrastructure, applications and systems support to all legislative staff, legislators, and others in the Capitol building. Within this unique organization you will experience challenging work while directly contributing to the betterment of Colorado. Employment type, work authorization, and remote work This is a full-time salaried state government position. It is a hybrid position that requires more onsite coverage during the legislative session. During the legislative session, late-night work may be necessary, and compensatory time will be provided for any extra hours worked subject to policy. You must be authorized to work in the US. Primary responsibilities + Accurately comprehend user needs while providing personable and timely support of applications + Analyze and determine root cause of issues and provide impact assessment + Proactively contribute toward improving system stability, performance, and reliability + Answering, researching, resolving and/or escalating application issues or questions with tracking tickets + Analyzing tickets for improving issue resolution and satisfaction with applications usage + Organizing, reviewing, updating or creating technical support and end user documentation + Work towards minimizing business disruptions by preventing application issues and resolving issues quickly and efficiently + Train users on applications, new features, and changes + Assist with creating a communications strategy and communicating with customers as time allows + Active participation in functional and technical design improvement discussions + Provide assistance with quality assurance planning and testing + Assist with and/or perform thorough regression tests when applicable + Miscellaneous tasks and assignments necessary for system support and maintenance Additional responsibilities + Assist senior project managers with project, program management, process improvements, and performance tracking + Create and improve processes for analysis and tracking of application usage and customer satisfaction Salary and benefits The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, with salary level within this range commensurate with education and experience.
