Software and Training Management Specialist
**Description** The Mission Concepts and Capabilities (MCC) Division of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a **Software and Training Management Specialist** to provide administrative services to the ARA team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Administrative duties include coordination and tracking of general office support tasks, distribution of software decision support tools and documentation, coordination of software training events, and varied support tasks required to administer the contract on-site at DTRA and the nearby ARA maintained training facility. The **Software and Training Management Specialist** interfaces with both ARA and government customer team members and handles information requiring various levels of protection. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential traits. Responsibilities of the position include: + Support project management and personnel in coordinating and tracking administrative actions to facilitate continuous support at the DTRA site + Coordinate meetings for Technical Reachback and Training teams in-person or virtual consistent with the level of protection required for the given event. + Coordinate with project and security personnel to ensure requirements for protecting and destroying protected information are conducted consistent with established procedures, including acting as courier for physical copies of protected information when required for destruction. + Manage DTRA’s software issue and control system as the primary interface for customers requesting access to DTRA decision support software, ensuring software requests are properly documented and requesters meet minimum requirements for software access. + Coordinate of DTRA training events, to include monitoring the DTRA CBRNE training request inbox, maintaining student rosters, assisting students with registration, generating course completion certificates, and providing in-person administrative support during training events. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience, or 8-10 years of experience in the role of software, document, or training management specialist with no degree + US citizen + Ability to obtain US DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance + Demonstrated professionalism, customer service focus, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills + Experience working in classified and unclassified environments **Desired Qualifications:** + Active US DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance + Experience overseeing software distribution + Experience coordinating software training events + Experience complying with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and security requirements + Experience working with the counter WMD community, including with M&S tool developers **COMPANY INFORMATION:** Applied Research Associates, Inc. is an employee-owned international research and engineering company recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences.
