POSITION: Software and Test Equipment Technician

What You will Do:
Repair and Maintenance of Test EquipmentDiagnose, repair, and restore functionality to test equipment.Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.Installation and CommissioningInstall, set up, and perform checkout procedures for new test equipment.Validate proper operation and ensure compliance with technical specifications.Inventory and Asset ManagementMaintain accurate inventory records of test equipment, spare parts, and tools.Track and manage test equipment lifecycle, including calibration schedules.Troubleshooting and Failure AnalysisUse diagnostic tools to isolate and troubleshoot test equipment failures.Analyze and resolve electronic unit issues down to the sub-assembly or component level.Engineering Support and UpgradesImplement engineering changes and modifications as required.Upgrade or retrofit existing test equipment to meet new requirements.Collaborate with engineering teams to validate and document changes.Software and Programming SupportWork with software used for automated test equipment, including C++, HTBasic, VEE, and Linux-based systems.Perform basic software troubleshooting, updates, or modifications to support test processes.Collaborate with software engineers to implement and validate software changes for test equipment.Technical Documentation and InterpretationDocument repair actions, modifications, and test results for traceability.Work Experience
What You Will Bring:
4 year degree preferred with 3 years experience, in lieu of a 4 degree 6 years of experience acceptableGood Communication and Collaboration skills neededProvide clear status updates to team members and support staff (e.g., shift pass down, engineering, maintenance).Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime.Electronics Knowledge and Application requiredApply a solid understanding of electronic circuitry and electrical components in troubleshooting and repair.Ability to utilize appropriate tools, test equipment, and measurement techniques for accurate diagnostics.Computer and Software Proficiency required to support this roleProficient with MS Office and other software applications to document, report, and track test equipment performance and maintenance activities.Must have the ability to interpret component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, schematics, and technical data.Due to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Phoenix, Arizona
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
