POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist ( AI/ML, Python & Cloud Tools ) who is eager to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment. If you have a solid academic foundation in computer science, enjoy working with data, and are interested in AI, machine learning, and tools like Python, Snowflake, and Google Cloud – this role is for you!

You'll work with a team of experienced data scientists and engineers to build and improve machine learning models for forecasting and extracting insights from documents. This is a hands-on role where curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to learn are more important than having all the answers on day one.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Help develop and improve machine learning models, especially for time series forecasting and document analysis.

Assist with building and testing Python code for data processing, modeling, and evaluation.

Learn to use Google Cloud (Vertex AI) and Snowflake to handle real-world data and deploy ML models.

Support projects using Large Language Models (LLMs) to read contracts and extract useful terms and insights.

Collaborate with team members to clean data, run experiments, and interpret results.

Be open to feedback, ask questions, and grow your skills on the job.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  

Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong interest in machine learning, AI, and data-driven problem solving.

Basic knowledge of Python programming and libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow.

Exposure to LLMs, time series, or cloud platforms like Google Cloud or AWS is a plus—but not required.

Strong willingness to work hard, learn new tools, and grow with the team.

Good communication skills and a team player attitude.

Nice to Have (but Not Required):

Projects using Jupyter Notebooks, Kaggle, or academic research in ML/NLP.

Familiarity with SQL or Snowflake.

Experience with tools like Git, Google Colab, or any cloud-based data platform
