Position Description

Seeking part-time on-campus (face-to-face) instructors to teach the following courses:
• Soc 17 - Sociology of Crime
• Soc 25 - Study of Mexican American and Latin American People in the US
• Soc 26 - Introduction to Latin American Societies
• Soc 30 - Introduction to LGBTQIA+ Studies All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Sociology instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's in sociology; OR
• Bachelor's in sociology AND master's in anthropology, any ethnic studies, social work, or psychology; OR
• The equivalent; AND
• Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.

MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW. Applications will be evaluated taking into account the breadth and depth of relevant education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities.
