**Job Summary:** **Provides assessment and intervention toassist clients/families to improve social and economic difficulties interferingwith health and wellness through use of casework process and principles,strategies, and community resources** . **Responsibilities:** + Determines nature ofclient's situation by interviewing client; assessing medical,psychological, emotional, and social information; making on-site visits. + Establishes course ofaction by exploring options; setting goals with client. + Obtains assistance for client by referringhim/her to community resources; arranging for appointments; establishingrapport with other agencies. + Fosters client's action or adjustment byinterpreting attitudes and patterns of behavior; explaining and pointingout new options. + Performs individual and/or family therapy, asindicated. **Qualifications:** _Required:_ + Masters degree in Social Work from accredited educational institution + Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan. _Preferred:_ + Prior experience preferred. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as a Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association. + Oncology or Medical Social Work experience is preferred. + Internship completed at a medical facility is preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans
