Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. Social Worker (LMSW Required) - Hospice

Job Summary

Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.Assists terminally ill patients and their families in making full u se of Hospice care and community resources to achieve maximum physical, emotional and social adjustment during the patient’s stay in the Hospice program.

Work Schedule: PRN (As Needed). This position will work weekends only and will cover the Horry County area. 

Qualifications /Training:

Possession of basic knowledge and skills in the practice of social work. Possession of a valid South Carolina driver’s license and an available vehicle at all times. Must be available to assist with providing social work consultation 24 hours a day. Valid South Carolina license to practice social work.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Licensed Masters' Social Worker from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council of Social Work education and at least one year experience in a health care setting.
