Central Louisiana State Hospital,located inPineville, Louisiana,is seeking applicants for a vacant position in ourSocial Servicesas a/anSocial Worker 5-Bwho provides direct-line supervision of subordinate social workers and/or other professional social services counselors for a service delivery program within a facility or region.
The Social Worker 5-Bplays a vital role for the Louisiana Department of Health in the Behavioral Health community by utilizing CLSH’s values and mission to deliver quality and effective care to our patients. The hospital is highly committed to cooperative work with other state agencies and with the state and regional mental health program to ensure the integration and coordination of hospital-community services into a comprehensive system of mental health care.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:
A master's degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Provide clinical supervision of social service staff that perform duties including but not limited to psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, individual, family, and group counseling and discharge planning.
+ Provide supervision to ensure all work activities are within The Joint Commission (TJC) and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
+ Coordinate social work services as indicated with other disciplines and agencies. Determine work assignments of staff, ensuring adequate social service coverage is provided.
+ Interview patients, family members, collateral sources, and obtain and review all available records to formulate comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
+ Prepare annual updated psychosocial assessments utilizing the same process.
+ Share and utilize information obtained in assessments as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in developing, implementing, and revising individualized treatment plans.
+ Complete case reviews of risk factors.
+ Provide individual and family counseling and education.
Position-Specific Details :
Appointment Type : Probational, Promotional, or Demotion
Work Schedule : Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation : The Social Worker 5-B position has aSpecial Entrance Rate (SER)of $2490.40 bi-weekly. This position is eligible for longevity pay starting at $2.00 per hour.
