Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Manages the social services department. Supervises Social Workers and Social Services Counselors. + Supervises and manages all social services operations during the 8 A.M.- 4:30 P.M. shift, including oversight of four care units, ensuring social services counselors and social workers staff coverage and high-quality resident care in a 156-bed long-term care facility. + Leads and evaluates social services staff performance, provides feedback, recommends disciplinary actions if needed, and participates in staff orientation, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations. + Collaborates on and manages social services schedules, approve leave, and ensures adequate staffing is present. + Conducts Quality Assurance audits and staff in-services, promoting continuous improvement in social worker care delivery and adherence to policy and procedure standards. + Investigates and reports resident complaints and incidents, recommending corrective actions and collaborating with other departments to ensure coordinated care and resident safety.
