Job SummaryThe social video intern will join the Department of Communication team to help promote Michigan Medicine's clinical care, research, news and innovative education and approaches to the world. The intern will work to amplify video content across social media platforms, leveraging repurposed content, and focusing on maximizing efficiency and output. Work within a team to develop a process for selecting content for amplification, and a workflow for quickly and efficiently publishing/promoting these repurposed video assets.

Responsibilities*Editing video assets into social media contentClean up and repurpose older video content for social postingPost to social media platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTokWorking with social media managers to develop workflow for publishing/promoting video content onlineFollow brand guidelines for all content creation Required Qualifications*Open to currently enrolled college students. Video and social media strategy background preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required. Motion graphic and text experience strongly encouraged. Experience with vertical video creation is a plus.
Modes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. SUPERVISION: This job reports to the Director of Creative Services
PAY RATE: $15 per hour, based on experience level.
Background ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
