Imperial Calcasieu Human Services Authority (ImCal HSA) exists so that citizens with mental health, addictions, and developmental challenges residing in the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson Davis are empowered, and self-determination is valued such that individuals live a satisfying, hopeful, and contributing life.
We're looking for a Social Service Counselor to join our Administration Division. This position coordinates with families, children, and youth who experience difficulties in their home or school environments as a result of emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD).

Minimum Qualifications
Six years of social services experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of social services experience; OR
A bachelor's degree plus three years of social services experience; OR
An advanced degree in a social sciences field plus two years of social services experience.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Positions that provide addictive disorder counseling or prevention services will require certification or eligibility for certification issued by the Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority (ADRA), or its successor.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
+ Organize and oversee the comprehensive interagency service delivery process for children and youth who experience EBD.
+ Receive, review and disseminate information to all participants in preparation for ISC case review meetings.
+ Perform public relations and provide technical assistance to schools and other agencies providing children services, ensuring that the referral agencies are adequately informed about the service planning process and are sufficiently stocked with the necessary forms for referral
+ Serve as a liaison with participants, families, advocates, clinicians, private and public providers who offer services to children/youth with EBD and other complex needs.
+ Prepare reports and treatment plans, maintain records, and produce correspondence relevant to the development of the ISC process.

Appointment Type:Probational or permanent
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation : The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
