Social Media Specialist - Contractor

RB Global is looking for a detail-oriented, highly communicative Social Media Specialist to join our Corporate Communications & Events team to support various social media engagement projects. Your specific focus will be on executing and optimizing social media strategies that enhance brand visibility, foster meaningful community engagement, and support marketing and sales initiatives. In this role, you will manage day-to-day publishing and interactions across social platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice and timely response to audience feedback. You’ll collaborate with the Social Media Manager and internal stakeholders to bring marketing campaigns to life. A strong grasp of current social media trends, platform tools and best practices will be critical to your success in helping RB Global grow its social presence and drive business impact.

· 3-5 years’ experience working with social media marketing channels. Working knowledge of digital marketing channels and tactics as it relates to social media marketing. Background in B2B social media.

· Proficient with Paid Social Media Advertising (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), Hootsuite social media aggregators (Preferred), Microsoft Office tools, and Wrike project management system.

· Familiarity with SEO principles and UTM tracking

· Excellent writing and strong storytelling skills, especially as it relates to presenting information and research in a concise and helpful manner.

· Ability to self-manage, multi-task and manage a large volume of work. Superior organization skills and attention to detail; ability to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Ability to thrive under the pressure of deadlines in a fast stakes dynamic business environment.

· Office and/or remote work environment.

· Execute social media strategies that build brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and increase sales.

· Daily engagement with and response to followers and communities across social channels across multiple platforms and accounts, including responding to all feedback, reviews, comments, and mentions.

· Assist with paid social media advertising campaigns at a level that enables you to publish organic geo-target and boosting campaigns, including asset preparation and performance tracking

· Solicit and manage user-generated content and relationships with influencers.

· Ensure a consistent brand presence, personality, and voice across all adopted social media platforms.

· Support in tracking, measurement and analysis of social campaign results.

· Stay on top of current social media trends, insights from content, and best practices.
