Waste Connections is looking for a Social Media Specialist here in our Corporate office in the Woodlands, TX! **Position Responsibilities –** **Content Development:** + Daily content development + Hero/Driver stories + Positive customer reviews + Fan Friday’s + Sharing content WCN is tagged in. + Recruitment + Posts for individual sites’ job fairs. + General Content + Schedule content for review/approval + Create stock content for the field to pull from. **Facebook:** Creating pages requested from the field. + Includes making changes to existing pages. + Messaging + Answer all messages directed to the main Waste Connections Page. + Redirect service questions to the field + Redirect employment questions to careers website or regional recruiters + Assist with creation of ads. + Monitoring performance of ads and adjusting when needed. + Review trends and monitor competitor pages. **Workplace:** + Review contest posted daily + Facebook Admins Group – maintain content for ease of use. **Digital Asset Management System (DAM):** + Moving all photos from Google Drive and S Drive into DAM, as well as making sorting and making searchable + Create “Portals” that allow us to send mass photos to the field, and certain users can upload photos into portals. **Other ad hoc requests and department needs:** Charity and volunteer events Assistance and involvement with graphics **What You Have to Have:** + Bachelors Degree + 1 - 3 years of experience in the field or related area + Proficient with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter + Strong written and verbal communications skills + Well organized + Able to work independently, multi-task and management time effectively + Flexible schedule with weekend availability **What Would be Great to Have:** + Experience with Adobe, Canva or other graphic design preferred + Salesforce Social Studio experience preferred + Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads preferred What’s In It For You: You will be joining a great team and a company in a “work hard, play hard” environment along with a competitive base salary plus commission.
