Snr technical Operation Engineer

We are working with to source for Foreman Mason.  This is a 16-month contract role working on a residential basis with 5-days per week / 9 hours per day schedule. Please see the details below. 

Job Title: Snr Technical Operation Engineer
Company: Leading International Construction Firm (Oman)
Project: Major Marine Infrastructure Project Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
Duration: Project-based (16 months, with potential extension)
Location: Site-based in Oman
Working Schedule: Full-time, 6 days/week Site-based role with standard working hours Overtime may be required based on site progress
Project Scope:
This marine infrastructure project involves: Construction of a jetty for specialized cargo handling Shore protection works to safeguard the coastline and infrastructure Installation of advanced drainage systems to manage water flow and reduce environmental impact   Key Responsibilities: lead technical operations for coastal and marine protection works on a major infrastructure project in Oman. This role involves overseeing engineering deliverables, supporting site execution, and ensuring compliance with geotechnical and environmental standards, particularly in relation to LNG jetty and shore protection construction. Lead the preparation and review of technical documents including shop drawings, method statements, and as-built records. Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues. Oversee execution of marine works such as piling, revetment, quay wall construction, and shore protection systems (e.g., rock armoring, geotextiles, breakwaters). Ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications and environmental standards relevant to LNG jetty and coastal protection works. Support planning and sequencing of construction activities. Monitor progress and provide technical input for resolving delays or design changes. Assist in the preparation of variation orders and technical justifications. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to project handover packages.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 10 years in construction, with at least 5 years in marine or coastal infrastructure projects. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction planning tools. Knowledge: Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, marine construction methods, and environmental compliance. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Mobility: Willing to be based full-time in Oman and work in remote project locations.
