The Senior Manager, GBS Integrations leads integration efforts for acquired companies at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Position summary

The Senior Manager, GBS Integrations is a newly created position that allows you to help integrate GBS services into acquired companies. This role requires working closely with the Integration Management Office and collaborators from acquired companies, making decisions, ensuring timely progress, and showing strong leadership of experts in the field. The GBS Senior Integration Program Manager will also enhance GBS process integration by evaluating challenges thoroughly, forming effective partnerships with key collaborators, and designing and implementing a central initiative with robust change management.

This Senior Manager, GBS Integrations will ensure GBS processes are implemented effectively, accurately, on time, and with minimal disruption to the acquired company. Additionally, this leader will drive improvements to methods used for implementing GBS processes, applying Practical Process Improvement and change management techniques to create impactful, sustained change.

Manage GBS integrations, analyze challenges, design solutions, drive implementation, and improve processes by documenting procedures for future integrations using project materials.

In this position, you will work independently, making informed decisions to solve intricate problems and guide key strategic choices. You will handle considerable uncertainty, addressing distinctive challenges to enhance Thermo Fisher’s GBS integration processes significantly. Your ability to lead will play a crucial role in molding operational norms and ensuring the success of GBS process rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead GBS integration by involving functions timely, recognizing interdependencies, and overseeing relevant functions.Foster collaboration among GBS experts, focusing on change management and accountability; establish connections with integration functions external to GBS.Develop connections with acquired company contacts, facilitating information exchange between GBS and the acquired company.Foster and uphold robust connections with Integration Management Office (IMO) peers, particularly Integration Leadership, Finance, IT, and HR, to grasp their requirements effectively. Act as the liaison for exchanging information between GBS and the IMO.Foster and sustain strong connections with collaborators, leaders, and subject matter experts within GBS, and ensure a deep understanding of their needs.Program Management: Develop complete strategy amongst 8 diverse workstreams.Demonstrating planning skills: Recognize obstacles, create answers, lead execution, and maintain improvements by utilizing connections, in-depth research, and guiding from behind.Collaboration: Encourage teamwork among team members and with other key functions and partners to coordinate projects. Guarantee a solid grasp of functional interconnections and identify areas for collaboration.Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous process improvement, driving daily enhancements.Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic advice and recommendations to GBS leadership on ongoing integrations and improvement projects.Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned, contributing to organizational success.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.Experience: 7+ years of change management experience; 5 years of indirect leadership experience.Communication: Exceptional at managing collaborator interests and building relationships.Problem-Solving: Proficient in addressing intricate challenges and producing practical insights.Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work independently with high-level judgment.Capable of managing intricate situations and navigating uncertainty.Technical Expertise: Ability to adapt quickly to new workstreams.Leadership: Demonstrates strong capabilities in guiding and supervising teams indirectly.Business Analysis: Proficient in assessing requirements, analyzing options, and driving implementations.Integration Experience: Experience with integrating new or acquired companies is a plus.Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).Project Management: Expertise in managing projects and programs to deliver results.Influence: Effectiveness in driving collaboration and an organized delivery of complex programs.Process Improvement: Proven capacity to improve processes with tangible results (Six Sigma, PPI, etc.).
