Position Summary: When the sun goes down and temperatures drop below freezing, our snowmakers gear-up and head out on the mountain. Facing challenging weather and difficult mountain terrain, our snowmakers perform the physically demanding job of tending to our snowmaking equipment. This position plays an instrumental role in creating the product that our guests enjoy: advanced, intermediate, beginner terrain, learning areas, terrain parks and racecourses. It all starts with our snowmakers.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
Must have an interest in learning about the process of making snow
Must have a willingness to work 12-hour shifts, day or night
Previous snowmaking/ ski area experience preferred, but not required
Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.

This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.

Specific Job Skills:
A valid Driver’s License & the ability to pass MVR check that meet company standards.
Physical Demands:
Ability to move large volumes of snow with a shovel.
Ability to work outside in a mountain environment during harsh conditions.
Ability to walk through deep snow while carrying heavy equipment and tools (50+ pounds).
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $22+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
