Position Overview
This position plays a key role in executing successful banquet events by managing day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and supporting a high-performing team. Working within established policy guidelines, this role exercises independent judgment in decision-making and collaborates closely with the Banquet management team to exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), assess event needs, and proactively request or implement necessary adjustments.Oversee execution of events in accordance with BEOs, ensuring seamless delivery and service quality.Supervise the handling, transportation, setup, and maintenance of all banquet equipment.Ensure all banquet activities meet Snowbird’s quality standards and uphold a high level of guest satisfaction.Collaborate with other departmental managers daily to ensure coordinated and efficient event delivery.Maintain the functionality and appearance of all meeting and conference spaces; coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.Train banquet staff on safety protocols, customer service standards, and job performance expectations.Manage shipping, delivery, and handling of client and exhibitor materials.Support alcohol service compliance by performing audits and enforcing adherence to Utah state regulations.Serve as a point of contact for staff and clients, resolving issues to ensure smooth operations and maximizing guest satisfaction.Ensure departmental compliance with Snowbird’s HR, payroll, purchasing, and accounting policies.Maintain up-to-date BEO documentation, attend BEO meetings, and communicate operational updates.Monitor and manage inventory levels for banquet supplies and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure readiness for upcoming events while staying within budget.Track usage trends, minimize waste, and coordinate with vendors and purchasing to maintain cost-effective and timely inventory replenishment.Guest & Team Interactions

High School Diploma or equivalent required.3–5 years of progressive experience in banquet or event operations, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.Certifications & Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.Valid Utah Food Handler’s Permit and TIPS Certification (or equivalent) required prior to start.Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of banquet/event operations and hospitality service standards.Basic math skills and the ability to estimate equipment and supply needs.Proficient in standard office tools and software (email, phone, copier, etc.).Experience with banquet/event systems like Amadeus, InfoGenesis, or similar POS platforms preferred.Familiarity with hotel operations software, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).Responsible for daily payroll accuracy checks, weekly scheduling, and staffing to budgeted labor standards.Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff to achieve operational excellence.Work Schedule
Flexible availability required, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.Working Conditions
