eCommerce Merchandiser

What will you do?

As the Ecommerce Merchandiser, you’ll own the merchandising strategy for the Smartwool website in US and CA. You’ll work closely with the Merchandising Coordinator and closely with the rest of the Ecommerce team to help bring seasonal stories and product assortments to life online. As part of the larger Ecommerce team, there will also be opportunities for exposure to cross-functional projects and roles in strategic initiatives centered on the product catalog. This role is located in our Denver, CO headquarters and will report to the Senior Manager of Ecommerce, Americas.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Consistent maintenance of the Smartwool online store for the U.S. and Canada, executing product merchandising strategies across the suite of tools for categorization, imagery, badging, product copy, pricing, multipacks, filters/facets, and size/fit information.Follow a merchandising calendar and support where pivots are needed, inform and update regularly based on changes in inventory and product delivery dates.Own the product launch calendar: Hands on with the seasonal product data preparation to include defining attributes, and gathering and proofing key product information and copy ahead of launch dates.Product setup and maintenance by uploading and updating product information, images, and descriptions to ensure product accuracy on the website.Collaborate with marketing and creative teams, and support email and marketing campaign execution by ensuring featured products are merchandised correctly on the site, and in marketing placements.Consistently and proactively communicate data insights (sell through, inventory position, etc).Attend seasonal category relevant go-to-market and buy meetings.Manage promotion set up and upload price books in SFCC.Proactively input merchandising bug tickets and track progress through to resolution.Lead and mentor the Merchandising Coordinator utilizing their strengths coupled with teaching/coaching as needed.Partner with external website vendors to improve customer experiences such as the finder tools, user generated content, product reviews, and fit recommendations

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of experience and professional achievements.

Passion for product and market trends to understand the why behind the what in sales trendsData driven mindset, balanced with common sense, intuition and a consumer led approachExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teamsYou are results driven to support the Ecomm team’s ambitious growth targets3+ years of merchandising or product buying experienceExperience working with content management systems, ecommerce platforms, and analytics tools (especially SFCC, Shopify, and Bloomreach)Proficient in Excel and PowerPointExceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesLocation requirement: Denver, CO (VF HQ)

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

Experience in consumer goods within the apparel industry a plusBachelor’s Degree in business, merchandising or marketing preferred

Hiring Range:

$69,120.00 USD - $86,400.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
