Mitie is a leading facilities management company, proud to deliver essential services across defence estates. At RAF Lossiemouth, we are delivering the Future Defence Infrastructure Service (FDIS) contract, supporting critical infrastructure and operational readiness.
We are now seeking a skilled and motivated Small Works Supervisor (BCE) to join our team and play a key role in managing minor new works, planned preventative maintenance, and compliance activities across airfield pavements and buildings.
About the RoleAs a Small Works Supervisor, you will coordinate and manage a variety of works including:
Minor new works, reactive and remedial tasks Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Supply chain and contractor management Compliance and certification reviewsYou will be responsible for ensuring work schedules are prioritised and delivered to meet contractual KPIs. The role includes reviewing risk assessments and method statements for high-risk activities, overseeing report writing, and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard.
With appropriate qualifications and training, you will also take on the role of Asbestos Responsible Person, supporting safe management and compliance across the site.
Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver small works and maintenance projects Review and approve RAMS and compliance documentation Support planned maintenance through reporting and remedial works Ensure contractor compliance with JSP 375 and site regulations Liaise with the Helpdesk, DIO, and end users to resolve issues Maintain strong working knowledge of systems such as MAXIMO and Coupa Attend training and meetings to stay current with contract changes Support business continuity and respond to audits Person SpecificationEssential Skills & Experience:

Experience on MOD or military estates Knowledge of airfield pavement inspections Experience or qualification as an Asbestos Responsible Person (training can be provided) QualificationsEssential:
NVQ Level qualification in a relevant trade, building, civil engineering, or related discipline Management-level qualification in Health & Safety and Environment (e.g., SMSTS) Full UK driving licenceDesirable:
