Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Oakley, CA
Pay Range: $45–$50/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week
Duration: 32 weeks
Caseload: 50–65 students (shared with SLP)
Student Population: Elementary and Middle School
Work Locations: Multiple school sites (one site per day)
Position Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports the Speech Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services. Responsibilities include clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related tasks, all within the scope of care assigned by the supervising SLP and/or physician.
Minimum Requirements
+ Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
+ Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience (as required by state/contract)
+ Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of practice
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Preferred: One (1) year of prior SLPA experience
+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ This role involves working with students across multiple school sites throughout the week.
+ The pay range provided is a good faith estimate and may vary based on location, experience, and other factors.
