Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – School-Based | Aurora, CO
Assignment Type: FMLA Coverage
Start Date: October 6, 2025 (may begin earlier depending on leave start)
Contract Length: 17 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Setting: Elementary School
Caseload: 30 students
Charting System: None
Supervision: Full support from onsite SLP and school-based team
Pay Rate: $45/hour (local)
Position Summary:
Amergis is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive elementary school team in Aurora, CO. This FMLA coverage role involves assisting a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services to a caseload of 30 students. The SLPA will engage in clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities within the scope of their licensure and supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
+ Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
+ Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of Colorado
+ Familiarity with professional standards of practice
+ One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
