Reporting to the operations manager, the Slitter is responsible for running, monitoring, and inspecting manufacturing functions in the slitting area. This includes setup, running, and processing equipment in that area. In this role you will be a key member supporting Parker’s LEAN and High Performance culture.
+ Read/ follow written Work Order/ Traveler/ Picklist instructions and understand internal SOP.
+ Work to a daily schedule and meet/exceed output targets by understanding the product flow and handling procedures within the department.
+ Work with cleaning solvents.
+ Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
+ Communicate well between departments, to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
+ May be asked to train in other departments to support cross-functional areas.
+ Use appropriate PPE for designated area.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
+ U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required
+ GED or High School Diploma required
+ Relevant Work Experience: 0-2+ years of manufacturing experience required
+ Ability to work independently and within a team
+ Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of Microsoft Office.
+ Personal/ Soft skills: Must Demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills
+ Ability to lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
