Halcyon is expanding our SLED team and seeking a driven Account Executive (Mid-Atlantic) to build and grow our presence across Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and North Carolina. You’ll own a defined territory, working with state and local governments, higher education institutions, and key public sector partners to drive net-new business.
This role requires a hunter mindset, strong knowledge of the public sector procurement landscape, and the ability to position Halcyon’s unique ransomware defense value proposition with technical and executive buyers.
What You’ll DoDrive net-new sales across state, local, and education accounts in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, and close.
Build strong, trust-based relationships with government stakeholders and partners.
Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Channel teams to execute regional go-to-market plans.
Leverage your understanding of SLED procurement vehicles and partner ecosystems to accelerate deals.
Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota.
What We’re Looking For5+ years of direct sales experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software.
Proven track record selling into SLED accounts (state, local, higher ed) in the Mid-Atlantic.
Familiarity with SLED procurement processes (RFPs, contracts, vehicles, resellers, etc.).
Strong hunter mentality with experience prospecting and closing net-new logos.
Ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders with confidence.
Experience working with public sector VARs, GSIs, and ecosystem partners.
Self-starter who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
