The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
**We are looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector for our Solutions Production team on 1** **st** **shift. This position will be based at our Knightdale, NC facility.**
The Inspector position is responsible for performing the in-process inspection duties on our Production Solutions products, working alongside our production team to ensure and encourage quality product builds.
**Shift Hours: 7:00AM- 4:30PM**
**Hourly Rate** : **$22.46**
**You'll make an impact by:**
+ Perform in-process mechanical inspection duties
+ Inspect each product to company quality standards and guidelines per internal documentation
+ Review mechanical specifications and drawings to ensure that products have been built correctly on production line
+ Troubleshoot solutions that benefit the team in the event of mechanical deviations and implement corrective action
+ Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports
+ Work with production and engineering teams during the inspection process and report any findings
+ Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve processes
+ Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others
+ Perform miscellaneous other mechanical duties assigned by supervisor or management
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 1+ years of prior work experience with production & inspection in a manufacturing setting
+ 1+ years of experience working with torque wrenches and torque verifications
+ Strong analytical skills to perform sequence of operation checks
+ Experience working with various types of inspection tools and methods
+ Must have the ability to read and work with schematic drawings and layouts
+ Basic computer skills
+ Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
+ Must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 1+ years of prior work experience with production & inspection at a Siemens facility
+ High school / GED
+ Experience working with SAP and Salesforce
+ Advanced knowledge working with 3D models and engineering drawings
+ Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive for continual improvement of the intended outcomes of the Management System
+ Possess a team mindset and encourage solutions to problems throughout mechanical builds
+ Possess the ability to cross reference mechanical drawings with in-progress production builds.
