Skid Assembler (Night Shift)
**Job Title: Skid Assembler (Night Shift)** **Job Description** As a Mechanical Assembler, you will perform mechanical assembly on various components such as valves, coils, and other large mechanical structural parts. You will work collaboratively within a team to install components like bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into an oversized module constructed from structural tubes. This work involves reading blueprints, Bills of Materials (BOM), P&IDs, and Work Orders or Work Instructions to relay information to your team. The role is fast-paced and repetitive, requiring both mechanical and basic electrical assembly skills. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical assembly on valves, coils, and large mechanical structural parts. + Install components such as bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into oversized modules. + Read and interpret blueprints, BOM, P&IDs, and work orders or work instructions. + Conduct basic electrical assembly tasks including wire pulling and installation of bus bars, ducting, and cable trays. + Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate assembly and installation. **Essential Skills** + Experience in mechanical assembly, particularly with valves, coils, and large structural parts. + Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, caulking guns, grinders, torque wrenches, levels, and measuring tapes. + Ability to operate machines like large band saws, pipe bevellers, and magnetic drills. + Experience in mass production or high-volume manufacturing environments. + Basic electrical skills, including wire pulling and conduit assistance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred experience as an assembler for similar companies. + Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly processes. + Ability to work in a fast-paced and repetitive environment. **Work Environment** You will work in a manufacturing environment characterized by concrete flooring and non-climate controlled conditions. Open bay doors facilitate frequent movement of forklifts and overhead cranes.
