Position Summary

The Ski and Ride School Operations Supervisor will oversee payroll, scheduling, inventory, and all staff communications. Organize and consolidate data and files in the SRS shard drive. Cover other program supervision as needed.  

 

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

Employee 

Ensure safety and guest service huddles and post-injury (student/instructor) reports are completed and accurate. 

Primary scheduler for all staff.  

Send all staff communications weekly, and as needed. 

Audit pay issued for work completed. Oversee the Payroll Coordinator and assist in the payroll process. 

Audit and verify correct pay rates 

End-of-season closing, equipment inventory, and management.  

Ensure documentation and files are organized and available for review by the Leadership Team. 

Assist with offboarding at the end of the season 

Technical 

Continually monitor systems for accuracy  

 

Secondary Function

May be called upon to assist sales staff, teach lessons, or run the surface lift.  

Equipment management 

As a member of the Leadership team, Leadership staff members are expected to be an example to front-line employees across the company. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Number of employees supervised: 1 directly & up to 300 indirectly

Positions supervised:  Payroll Coordinator 

Scheduling and assigning work: Audit daily timekeeping. 

Training: Assist in training as needed.

Interpersonal Contacts

The operations supervisor interacts daily with instructors, supervisors, managers, customers, rental staff /supervisors/managers, and sales location staff/supervisors/managers.  

 

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications: PSIA/AASI Level I or higher. 

Technical: Computer knowledge (POS, MS Word, MS Excel). 

Physical Capabilities: Able to work outside in all weather conditions.  

 

Education/Related Experience

Minimum education required: High School Diploma or equivalent. PSIA/AASI Level I or higher. 

Minimum time in related position: 2+ years in a Ski and Ride School supervisory/management position.

Current Hiring Range: $24.25/hr
