Systems Administrator - Site Switching Technician

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Technical Training
● Required Experience: 3+ years of related experience, assessing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on Layer 1 Network Switching Systems to include: APCON, PURVIS, NETSCOUT, DTS, XCOM, and NGSC switches.
● Required Technical Skills: The best candidate will be conducting Network Switching hardware and software installations.  Assisting with testing and operation of new switches to support new equipment and systems for government, military and/or scientific uses.
● Security Clearance Level: Secret Clearance
● Required Skills and Abilities: Perform switch testing, break and relink switch paths to support customer set ups, investigate and correct Network switching issues, install/remove new and old equipment and cables to include: low level serial, parallel, and fiber optic.

Experience with equipment design principles.

Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD).

Experience with documentation development including drawings, technical manuals (operation, assembly, troubleshooting, and repair).

Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
