We’re looking for a Site Supervisor/Landscaping Crew Leader to help lead crews and support overall Operations for our West Michigan locations. Can you picture yourself here? This is a hybrid role, you will lead landscaping teams as needed and support other operational tasks and needs other day through out the West MI Market.
STARTING RATE OR MINIMUM RATE OF PAY IS $18 PER HOUR AND COULD INCREASE FROM THERE DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD. Candidates MUST have a Chauffeur's license currently or are willing to obtain one prior to starting work, at their cost. The perfect Candidate also has MDARD Pesticide Licenses 3A, 3B & 6 and has some previous Operations management experience.Here’s what you’d do:
The Site Supervisor is a Crew Leader position that manages field operations for a specific customers and/or customer sites daily ensuring quality and job specifications are met. Some days time will be spent in field hands-on assisting teams complete jobs and other days it could be time spent completing Quality checks on properties we maintain throughout West MI as well as other operational and field specific tasks.
You’d be responsible for:
Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are metSurface customer problems or concerns and report back to Operations ManagerAssist in resolving issues with customer service when neededEnsure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policiesCommunicate regularly with Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceededMonitor site quality daily and ensure crews are addressing deficiencies dailyDeliver services as specified on client siteWork to identify more efficient ways to perform workCoordinate service execution with Operation ManagerOversee day to day site operations and delegate work to crew team membersProvide Operations Manager feedback on crew member(s)Work with Crew Leader/Operations Manager, helping to develop and train crew membersEnsure equipment preventative maintenance is performed as needed and equipment is in good working orderParticipate in branch meetings as directedEnsure crew time is accurately captured. Log equipment usage and maintenance cyclesYou might be a good fit if you have:
BrightView Equipment certificationsExperience in a landscape-related fieldDemonstrated leadership among the team and with peersMUST have a Chauffer’s License; OR BE WILLING TO OBTAIN ONE BEFORE HIRE DATE - must be current and good Driving record, strong leadership, and familiarity with the techniques and equipment used in landscaping.MUST be able to pass a Criminal Background check; Driving record check; Drug Test and DDOT Medical ExamMUST EITHER hold a current MDOT Medical Card; OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN ONE within 48 hours of OfferAttention to detail requiredAbility to communicate to crews and customer on-siteBi-Lingual (Spanish) preferred
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
