Job Description:
Parsons is anticipating the need for a Site Supervisor to join our team and support on a complex infrastructure project in Dublin.
In this role, you will provide site-based oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of construction and commissioning activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee construction activities across all project phases: planning, execution, and completion.Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through regular safety tours, meetings, and prompt resolution of concerns.Develop detailed project schedules, establish milestones, and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery.Collaborate across functions and with contractors to optimise resource allocation, maintain timelines, and ensure compliance with contract specifications and industry standards.Implement and manage quality assurance and inspection processes, ensuring all work meets or exceeds required standards.Conduct site inspections, assess contractor performance, and manage the Inspection and Test Plan regime.Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and resolutions.Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and deliver cost-effective solutions where required.Perform additional tasks, activities, or duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
5 - 10+ years experience in Construction, with 3+ years specializing in Engineering and Management on large-scale multidisciplinary railway or infrastructure projects.Minimum Level 6/7 (NFQ) or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.Proven experience in delivering complex infrastructure works and stakeholder management on major projects.In-depth knowledge of safety, health, and welfare regulations in construction (including Construction (Amendment) Regulations 2020).Practical experience in implementing health, safety, environmental, and quality management processes.Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and commercial awareness on large-scale projects.Proven ability to contribute to project implementation and associated commercial strategies.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Strong leadership and team management skills with clear communication across all project stakeholders.Ability to develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines.Sound knowledge of railway construction processes, materials, and techniques.Ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.Expertise in quality assurance, construction monitoring, and compliance with technical drawings.Additional professional qualifications in Engineering or Construction/Project Management advantageous.Membership or working towards MCIOB or MICE (or equivalent).Note: This position is contingent upon project award and future funding, this exciting new opportunity is planned to commence in Spring 2026.
