Role Purpose
To lead, coordinate and oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The Site Supervisor acts as the on-site point of contact, supporting operatives, managing subcontractors, and ensuring full compliance with company procedures, H&S regulations and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Delivery
Supervise daily site operations and workforce activities. Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment required for the project. Ensure all works are completed to specification, signed off, and documented accurately. Monitor progress against programme and escalate delays or issues promptly. Carry out daily/weekly site inspections and quality checks.Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce site H&S rules and company procedures at all times. Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions and ensure RAMS are understood and followed. Report near misses, incidents, and non-compliances immediately. Ensure the site remains safe, tidy and compliant with legislation (CDM, fire safety, environmental standards).Quality Assurance & Documentation
Check work against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Sign off completed works and ensure accurate records are maintained. Capture photographic evidence, site notes, and handover documentation. Support audits from clients, internal teams and third-party assessors.Subcontractor & Client Coordination
Oversee subcontractors to ensure performance and compliance. Liaise with clients and site representatives professionally, maintaining strong relationships. Attend site meetings and provide progress updates as required.Problem-Solving & Leadership
Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly. Provide guidance, support and leadership to operatives.Escalate technical or resource issues to the Contract/Project Manager
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience supervising site-based works (construction, fire protection, facilities, or similar). Strong understanding of H&S regulations and safe-working practices. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documents. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. IT-literate: capable of using site reporting apps, email, and company systems.Full UK Driving License
