Overview

Supervise & manage warehouse personnel to ensure an efficient, accurate and orderly completion of the daily picking and packing of inventory while maintaining a neat, orderly and efficient warehouse environment. The Warehouse Operations Manager will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The WM will manage warehouse action plans while being the onsite single point of contact for the client; ensuring that operational goals are met and order requirements are met. The tracking and recording of equipment hours, assurance that equipment maintenance schedules are followed and employee meetings are conducted.

Responsibilities Manage the computerized inventory program and reporting functionsContinuous Process Improvement, Training, Guiding and Mentoring related dutiesAssign, monitor & evaluate workflow of the department, including communicating work assignmentsDevelops optimal works schedules to ensure the needs of the customer are metMaintain inventory control of all stores and material received at the Locations WarehouseReview all incoming manifests and shipping documents and check against material receivedPrepare manifests for departing shipments. Review and sign off on all outgoing manifests and equipment departingMonitor & oversee the time-sensitive and accurate sequencing, picking, shipping & or receiving of all merchandise & materials, including ensuring the quality of all inbound & outbound products which includes OS&D management thru resolutionResponsible for development/monitoring of KPI's & implementing continuous improvement opportunitiesCreate & implement cost savings though LEAN processes and Kaizen eventsTrain new hires & existing employees on all warehouse functions, including the enforcement of safety procedures in accordance with company policies & proceduresWorks within budgetary/financial objectives set by managerConduct meetings with staff to assess group's overall status; discuss ideas for improvement and inform staff of new developmentsMaintain a flexible work schedule including outside normal business hours and after hours on call rotationCommunicates with manager, customer and suppliers concerning load & material issues & status, serving as liaison to communicate load, plant, routing issues or concerns between employees at facility & customer & or supplierSort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standardsReceives items within CBPS’s receiving procedures and shipping proceduresPerforms 100% material receiving accuracy checkMaintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventoryWear the proper safety equipmentMaintain a safe and clean warehouse environmentOther assigned duties as requested Qualifications HS Diploma or GED required. Degrees are in Supply Chain, Business Management, Accounting and Finance or other business disciplines preferredStrong background in SAP MM and WM modules with 3 or more years of Warehouse environment utilizing SAPStrong background in problem solving in a dynamic team environmentRequires knowledge of materials distribution and/or logistics processes, methods, and skills related to inventory management.Advanced knowledge of ERP/WMS (or similar supply chain management systems) required

Physical Demands

Occasionally lifting and/or moving of up to 50 lbs. , repetitive motion, walking, or operating equipment
