Site Superintendent
Structured Cabling Superintendent Location: Richmond, VA Experience Level: 6+ Years Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and driven Structured Cabling Superintendent to oversee small to medium-sized structured cabling projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all contracted work is executed in accordance with company standards for safety, quality, and financial performance. The Superintendent will serve as the senior on-site liaison and lead the project team to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities • Act as the primary on-site contact for clients and project stakeholders. • Plan, manage, and monitor project profitability and performance. • Ensure timely completion of projects aligned with customer expectations. • Oversee staffing, workload distribution, and installation progress. • Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot technical issues. • Manage project documentation including timesheets, work orders, and change orders. • Lead operational meetings and training sessions. • Maintain tools and truck inventory and ensure proper usage. • Promote and enforce safety standards across all job sites. Qualifications • Minimum 6 years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical/construction field. • At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience. • Minimum 3 years as a Lead Communications Technician or similar role. • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents. • Proficiency in project management systems and reporting tools. • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift/move up to 75 lbs. • Must be able to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals.
