Job Title: Project Superintendent
Job Description

We are seeking a Site Superintendent to oversee 1–3 active civil infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland. Projects typically range from $2M–$20M and are focused on municipal underground utility work, including storm and sanitary sewer systems, water mains, duct banks, excavation, and roadworks. This is a long-term role with a strong emphasis on technical expertise, leadership, and cultural fit.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure all construction activities comply with safety standards and regulations.Promote a safety culture during bid reviews and pre-construction meetings.Coordinate activities of field personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.Ensure Project Foreman/Lead Hand understands project scope and methodology.Manage and coordinate subcontractors' work on site.Prepare work plans and schedules to determine resource, material, and equipment requirements.Review status reports prepared by the Project Manager and adjust schedules or plans as needed.Manage Project Foremen and key project staff, including scheduling and vacation approvals.Provide technical advice and resolution to project staff.Recruit and recommend hiring of new field staff.Mentor project staff to contribute to their development and career growth.Recommend disciplinary actions to ensure adherence to company policies and standards.Allocate resources to achieve project safety, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.Maintain strong working relationships with project owners, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders.Essential Skills5–10+ years in civil construction, specifically in underground utilities.5+ years in a supervisory role managing crews and field operations.Deep understanding of municipal utility installation, underground utilities, excavation, and roadworks.Ability to interpret drawings and develop execution plans.Familiarity with local vendors, permitting processes, and municipal regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Valid driver’s license (company truck provided).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with HCSS HeavyJob.Collaborative, adaptable, and team-oriented.Comfortable in a flat organizational structure with minimal hierarchy.Open to feedback and cross-functional teamwork.Work Environment

The role involves working on civil infrastructure projects in the Lower Mainland, adhering to a family-oriented culture with a flat structure. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
