Job Title: Site SMP Engineer
Work Type: Casual Contract
Location: Pilbara
Roster: 2:1 FIFO
Contract Duration: 12 months (subject for extension)
About the Role
This is a site-based role supporting a large-scale NPI project with a large workforce. You will be part of a high-performing EPCM team working in a newly commissioned camp with excellent amenities.
Key Responsibilities Oversee Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) construction activities on site. Manage contractor performance, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards and project specifications. Coordinate work packages and ensure timely delivery in alignment with project milestones. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including subcontractors, site teams, and project leadership. Support shutdown planning and execution in collaboration with the Shutdown Coordinator. Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are upheld across all SMP activities. Requirements Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or related discipline. Minimum 4+ years of site-based SMP experience (not exceeding Lead level). Strong background in QA/QC, contractor management, and package coordination. Proven experience in NPI projects and stakeholder engagement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume construction environment.
