Site Service Technician - Tualatin, OR

JOB SUMMARY

Manage On-Site Service team's operation of gas, chemical, and other equipment at customer site, utilizing MATHESON and other resources as necessary to accomplish customer's requirements in a timely manner.

 



Essential Functions

Essential Function

1.     Execute the customer's & MATHESON policies and procedures to meet the operational requirements of customer.

2.     Maintain a safe and cleanly work environment in addition to following all workplace safety protocols in performing required work.

3.     Perform daily check of all gas, liquid, and chemical locations currently identified as needing daily monitoring.

4.     Coordinate deliveries to all use points at customer location.  Unload/load trucks as required using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.

5.     Perform cylinder or system chemical changes if required in contract with customer.

6.     Provide inventory management through forecasting the needs of the specific locations and processing all orders to maintain proper inventory in addition to processing orders sent from authorized users.

7.     Respond to all gas and liquid alarms needs 24 hours a day.

8.     Replace products or coordinate repairs to systems as needed to ensure uninterrupted supply to the end users at the customer site.

9.     Inform and instruct the site services team in proper methods and procedures.

10.   Implement and maintain technical and safety programs, operating records and documentation, and manage the sites PM program.

11.   Keep/maintain the equipment maintenance database, schedules, and keep procedures up to date.

12.   Recommend, support, and implement improvements to all gas & chemical equipment and related systems new or existing.

13.   Assure timely communications and reports with all team members (customer, subordinates, and MATHESON management).

14.   Maintain a high level of professionalism while continuing to gain specialized education and training.

15.   Safety training for customer personnel in the safe handling of cryogenic liquids and compressed gases.

16.   Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, as required.

17.   Member of Emergency Response Team, as required.

18.   Participate in audits, as required.

19.   Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

 

 

Location and Hours of Work

Provide regular “on-site” services from 7:00 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or similar hours as required by customer. 

Provide 24/7 response to customer for any emergency needs.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities (if multiple employee site)

Training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, assist in addressing complaints and resolving problems.
