Job Description

The Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) shall have full oversight of preparing and enforcing the safety program initiatives at CMI’s customer sites in Orlando, FL. Current OSHA 30-hour safety training and SOH related training is required - proof will be requested.

Key Job Functions

Oversight and implementation of the Accident Prevention PlanPrepare and enforce the client Safety and Health ProgramConduct personnel and equipment inspections dailyConduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsiteConduct mishap investigationsMaintain applicable safety reference material at the jobsiteAttend pre-construction conference, pre- work meetings, and three phase inspection meetings

QualificationsBachelors DegreeMust meet the requirements of EM 385-1-1 Chapter 2, entitled SITEMust have at least five (5) years of satisfactory experience in preparing and enforcing Safety Programs for a facility maintenance services contract with a contract value of at least $750KCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or safety and health degree is preferred. Current OSHA 30-hour construction safety training or equivalent24 hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) -related training within the past 5 yearsMust maintain competency by taking 24 hours every three-year period for the duration of the contract.Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English to effectively perform these job functions and comply with installation emergency procedures
