We’re looking for a Go Engineer responsible for web application design and development, performance, availability, and reliability. Candidate is responsible to provide consultation and strategic recommendations by quickly assessing and remediating complex platform availability issues. Responsibilities Include:

Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story analysis and develops responsive web applicationsPerforming hands-on software development, typically spending 50-60% of time actually writing code and unit tests, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews, and testingPerforming ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts, and delivering continuous improvementDeveloping deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within the supported domainsManage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a teamMentoring team membersWork closely with product managers to implement versatile solutions to tricky web development problemsWork with Product Owners to define requirements for new features and plan increments of workDrive automation and ensure automated test scripts are completed for new featuresPerform all aspects of software development for assigned applications, including developing prototypes, writing new code and creating API'sImplement observability and resiliency using best practicesDemonstrate a passion for continuous learning and willingness to adopt new technologiesGood attitude, communication, willingness to learn and collaborateBring a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvementChallenging status quo, demonstrate risk taking, and implement creative ideas

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical discipline, or equivalent 3+ years of work experience3+ years’ experience working in Go and able to demonstrate strong Go knowledge3+ yrs experience in writing Go applications and building REST APIsAble to demonstrate strong web fundamentals & knowledge of DOMPractical experience on implementation various system integration solutions, such as, APIs and Data integration layers (Batch & Real-Time);Experience in design and developing mission critical highly available enterprise applications and Go applications performance tuningExperience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and platforms, especially GIT, Maven and Jenkins5+ yrs working in a Software Development practices, Agile/SCRUM, SAFe Agile, Pair ProgrammingProven experience building scalable web applicationGood communication skills - able to explain concepts to product managers and business partners in ways that are meaningful to themHands on experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as DB2, Redis, Postgres, Couchbase etc.Research latest technology, concepts, conceptualize solution and develop proof of concept that will improve resiliency and performance of the applicationsDesign and implement innovative solution/framework that will improve software engineering velocity, infrastructure resiliency and security, and data availabilityStrong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well in a diverse team-focused environmentKnowledge on observability (logging/monitoring/alerting/tracing) tools
