Site Reliability EngineerJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize large-scale AWS and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient operations. The candidate should be able to automate daily activities, support deployment pipelines, develop observability for the cloud platforms. This role requires expertise in cloud concepts, advanced DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, and proficiency with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional skills in Kubernetes troubleshooting and deployments, Azure DevOps, Cloud Access Management, CloudFormation, and cloud networking.
Key Responsibilities
•\tCloud Platform Management:
o\tDesign, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure AWS and Azure cloud environments.
o\tOptimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.
o\tImplement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
•\tDevOps and CI/CD:
o\tDevelop and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and other industry-standard tools.
o\tAutomate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes.
o\tTroubleshoot and resolve complex Kubernetes issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
•\tCloud Security:
o\tImplement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
o\tManage Cloud Access Management frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
o\tConduct regular security assessments and audits to mitigate risks.
•\tMonitoring and Observability:
o\tDesign and implement monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
o\tProactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
o\tDevelop dashboards and alerts to ensure real-time visibility into cloud operations.
•\tCloud Networking: Good Knowledge of Networking concepts- maintains, and troubleshoots network hardware and software, resolves connectivity issues, implements security measures like firewalls, monitors network performance, and provides technical support to users.
o\tArchitect and manage cloud network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and load balancers.
o\tEnsure secure and efficient connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
o\tTroubleshoot and optimize network performance for low latency and high throughput.
•\tCollaboration and Leadership:
o\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, security, and compliance, to align cloud operations with business goals.
o\tMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on cloud best practices.
o\tStay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Qualifications
•\tEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•\tExperience:
o\t7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 4 years focused on AWS and Azure platforms.
o\tProven experience managing large-scale cloud environments in a Fintech or similarly regulated industry.
o\tHands-on experience with Kubernetes troubleshooting, deployments, and cluster management.
o\tDemonstrated expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
o\tStrong background in cloud security principles and tools, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
o\tExtensive experience with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
o\tProficiency in AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates, and cloud networking concepts.
•\tTechnical Skills:
o\tExpert-level knowledge of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and architectures.
o\tAdvanced DevOps skills, including automation, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
o\tDeep understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancing).
o\tFamiliarity with Fintech-specific compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2) is a plus.
•\tCertifications (at least 1 of the below certifications or similar is mandatory)
o\tAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
o\tMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
o\tCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
o\tSysOps or DevOps certification

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
