Job Description
The successful candidate will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of systems, collaborating with developers and operations teams to implement solutions that enhance infrastructure and support applications in a cost-effective manner.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and implementation of reliable and scalable systems using Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio.Proactively identify performance improvements in responsiveness, availability, and scalability.Monitor system performance and respond to incidents using Datadog for observability.Develop automation scripts for deployment and monitoring.Utilize GitOps for reliable software deployment to production.Collaborate with development teams to resolve reliability issues.Conduct load testing to verify systems' capability to handle expected loads.Implement A/B, canary, and traffic mirroring strategies for smooth critical updates.Utilize Helm charts for application deployment and manage AWS systems, including Load Balancers and EKS.Ensure cost-effective solutions that provide high-quality customer experience and maintain high availability.Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems, working with SREs globally.Contribute to team documentation and knowledge sharing.Assist in implementing best practices for system reliability.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related field.Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio.Basic knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, or Prometheus.Experience with Horizontal Pod Autoscalers (HPAs) for resource optimization.Understanding of Argo CD for GitOps practices.Knowledge of A/B, Canary, Blue/Green deployments, and traffic mirroring techniques.Experience with scripting and orchestration tools like Terraform or Ansible.Awareness of cost management in cloud environments.Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to learn and apply new technologies and programming practices.Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Golang or Rust is a plus.Ability to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers.Exhibits integrity and high standards in work quality.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
