Site & Pavements Testing Lead

We’re on the lookout for a knowledgeable and dedicated Site & Pavements Testing Lead to take the reins of our aggregate, soils, foam bitumen stabilising (FBS) design, and pavement testing operations in Tauranga. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in growing our aggregate and pavement testing capabilities through strong technical oversight, hands-on leadership, and proactive customer engagement.

 

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

As the Site & Pavements Testing Lead, you’ll manage the delivery of both laboratory and field-testing activities, ensuring they meet the standards required by IANZ registration and ISO 17025, 9001, and 14001 certifications. You’ll be responsible for optimising equipment utilisation and performance, with a focus on implementing new technologies and driving innovation to enhance testing capabilities and support business improvement.

 

We’re looking for someone who’s not just technically sound, but also passionate about developing people. You’ll oversee team supervision and training, help grow future capability, and support KTP signatories to ensure the laboratory continues to meet the needs of our expanding client base.



Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring several years of experience in the contracting industry or a laboratory environment, with a strong background in aggregate and site testing, as well as pavement investigation. You’ll also have:

A valid IANZ accredited KTP signatory Experience in managing delivery technical services in a commercial environment. Experience in foam bitumen stabilisation design & / or quality assurance testing is advantageous.  A focus and passion for keeping people and the environment safe  Demonstrated leadership behaviours built on collaboration, excellence, courage and integrity
